Characterisation Setup for Soft Actuators

Exploring the role of Mechanical Design Lead as an intern, I got the opportunity to work on a testing platform for soft actuators, to capture soft actuator torque variations relative to angular orientations and pressure parameters.

CAD - Robotic Manipulator

Modeled a functional 6-DOF robotic manipulator inside SolidWorks, enforcing rigid-body kinematic mates to capture exact mechanical links and simulate the motion of the robotic arm.

Stress Prediction and Optimization

Engineered a CNN and UNet architecture to predict and map localized geometric configurations directly to spatial VonMises stress fields.

Automated PCB Printer

Designed an additive direct-ink writing (DIW) system utilizing a positive-displacement piston extruder and a synchronized belt-driven X-Y transmission.

Campus Marketplace

Conceptualised and developed an online platform for the buying, selling and donating of campus items to facilitate the concept of reuse on campus, and to reduce waste generation.

Music and Dance

I've spent around 6 years immersing myself in classical Indian dance, Kathak and piano. That time gave me a lasting love for rhythm, dedication to practice, and a constant eagerness to jump at any opportunity to perform.

Art

Art, in all its forms but primarily sketching and painting are the activities I hold closest to my heart. It has a way of relieving yourself, the freest form of expression. Everything I dive into has a touch of the artists point of view. If art has ever taught me anything, it's to trust the process. The end product is oftentimes different to what we imagined, but beautiful, nonetheless.

Travel

Travel is an activity which I consider the most grounding and liberating. Stepping into unfamiliar places and exploring new cultures is always so exciting, but it also has a way of making me reflect and see life through a different lens.

Books, Movies and TV Shows

Ah yes, storytelling. What a way to see the world. I love any narrative that pulls me right in, whichever form of media it may be. They offer the rare chance to live another life and lose yourself in a new dimension. Almost all genres pique my interest, though I must say rom-coms hold a special place in my heart 🙂
